The 2021 Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry is the official SIA approved security qualification that allows you to gain your SIA licence. This enables you to work legally as a Security Officer anywhere in the United Kingdom.

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) has developed the training to ensure new Security Officers possess the knowledge skills and understanding, to enable them demonstrate competence in Security Guarding.

The course requires self-studying prior to learning and is passed via a multiple choice assessment and practical assessments.
Price: £200 With 3 days Virtual learning via Microsoft Teams (must have a computer with camera and mic)

*Please note, you must hold a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent. If you don’t, you will also be required to complete this qualification. This can be booked separately.
The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification price is not included, therefore an additional fee will be payable. The one-day course for this qualification would need to be completed before you sit the Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry course.
In order to complete this course, learners are required to complete the following three mandatory modules:
Module 1: Principles of working in the private security industry
Module 2: Principles of working as a security officer in the private security industry
Module 3: Application of Conflict Management in The Private Security Industry
The SIA security officers course is assessed by three multiple-choice paper exams and three practical assessments that you will complete during attendance as follows:

Module 2: Principles of working as a security officer in the private security industry
Module 3: Application of conflict management in the private security industry
The Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry is designed for learners who would like to gain the Security Officers licence in line with new, licence-linked qualifications.
